Fieldserver Protonode bridges

 

Tek-Air Systems has worked with FieldServer to develop a bridge for the information from the SmartLab and Fume Hood Controller System over to BACNet I/P, BACNet MSTP, LON, Modbus and N2. These devices are easily configured to be virtual controllers to the Building Management System, by using an export feature supplied with the SmartLab Configuration Software.

Smartlab system
airflow control

 

The SmartLab Controller is a versatile, high-speed direct digital controller specifically for airflow and temperature control in laboratories and other critical environments.  The SmartLab Controller is a fully distributed microprocessor-based controller, operating interdependently with other controllers in the lab.  Although each controller may share data with other controllers, each is capable of maintaining its own control loops without intervention of other networked or central controllers.

Smartlab system

The SmartLab Configuration Software is a Windows-based graphical user interface (GUI) which runs on a PC or laptop computer equipped with an ARCnet adapter card.

Smartlab system
SLI-N2 converter

 

Designed solely for use with Tek-Air's SmartLab Control System, the SmartLab Interface Converter provides seamless integration to Johnson Controls N2 network.  The design of the SmartLab Interface Converter provides a true communications protocol converter.  There are two ports for connecting the converter.  The signals are isolated, and the communications protocol is converted from one side to the other side in a bi-directional fashion. 

 

Applications

  • The SLI-N2 is included in each lab in the SmartLab network, and provides a point of connection for technicians using a computer to configure the lab controls. The SLI-N2 converter also provides isolation between the lab network it serves and the main N2 network trunk.

lim-2000
smartlab system lab interface module

 

Designed solely for use with Tek-Air's SmartLab Control System, the LIM-2000 provides a communications port into a SmartLab network.  The design of the LIM-2000 incorporates a true communications signal repeater.  There are two ports to the repeater.  The signal is isolated, and then boosted in strength from one side to the other in a bi-directional fashion.  The main trunk connects all LIMs to one another and to the front end computer.  Due to the isolation provided by each LIM to its respective lab, if there is a failure in the lab network, the main network remains unaffected.  Conversely, if there is a failure in the main network, the lab remains unaffected.

 

Applications

  • The LIM2000 is provided in each lab in the SmartLab network and provides a point to configure the lab controls. The LIM2000 also acts as a repeater, allowing isolation of the network trunk. In addition, the LIM2000 houses a temperature sensor that can connect directly to the SmartLab Controller input for measurement of lab temperature.
