The Danbury location is headquarters for Tek-Air with a training and solutions room, manufacturing facility, and also several conference rooms. Product/System
Sales This course is designed for the Tek-Air Sales Representative new to the Tek-Air Product line. This three-day module will cover the items listed below and is also a good fit for the project engineer involved with the application of a Tek-Air System.

Engineering / Technician
This course is designed for the Project Engineer / Technician familiar with HVAC instrumentation and controls, but new to the Tek-Air product line. This four-day module is a fast-paced hands-on course that covers the items listed below and will prepare the participant to start working with Tek-Air System's product line.

|
Training for Certification Tek-Air Systems will certify individuals who have completed the Standard Training Modules and have sufficient hands-on experience. After requirements have been fulfilled, system integrators and system technicians will receive a certificate after a period of successful work, which will enable them to state that they are factory-certified representatives of Tek-Air Systems. |

Special Training Modules Special Training Modules are also available either in the Danbury office or at a remote location. These Special Training Modules are usually groomed for specific needs and can address project issues pertaining to design, commissioning or even a refresher course on products. A Special Training Module designed for your needs outside of the Danbury Office may be more cost-effective when compared to the expense of sending multiple people to the Danbury office for all training needs after their initial visit. Product Familiarity This course is a
quick overview of the Tek-Air product line to include VorTek, TFP, IAQ,
Iso-Tek, Pneumavalve, Venturi Valve, Blade Dampers and our complete
family of controllers. Class is designed to make the participant aware
of the many options you have with the Tek-Air product line, and time
is allowed to focus on particular products that will be utilized on
your future projects. This is a great first step into the Tek-Air world
of critical airflow control. Market and Sales Strategies Course is meant for the person who is already in a sales related position who needs to be aware of the specific needs of selling in the lab market. Lab System Options Course is a presentation
of the many options that sale or the project engineer can use with the
Tek-Air Product Line. Participants will be exposed to many pre-fabricated
solutions to Laboratory airflow and temperature control done with our
various controllers and valve assemblies. The Tek-Air Lab Applications
Manual will be handed out and used as a guide to the options available.
This manual can also be used as your sales tool when making a customer
presentation. Commissioning the Products This course is meant
for the engineer / technician who is in the field doing the work. He/she
will get hands on training with the controllers, transmitters and valves
so they can begin doing trouble shooting and commissioning in the field.
Previous experience in the field with other similar products is assumed
so that this class can be a fast paced introduction to the Tek-Air Product
line. Commissioning Coordination Course is designed
for the seasoned technician and project engineer / manager and presents
the logical format of a Tek-Air System start up. Previous experience
is helpful as a project manager so they will understand how to have
effective pre start up meetings with contractors, and how to coordinate
contractors on site for the customer. The individual will also be taught
how to prevent problems before they occur to prevent extra onsite expenses
in time and materials. Price Book, Take Off / Estimating with the Tool This course helps
the Sales / Engineer to evaluate the project so he may apply pricing
to the job. Through the use of a MS Excell Spread Sheet, the user will
learn how to estimate his hardware purchase price, and also how to estimate
other services that go along with a turn-key project. The participant
should have already done the Lab System Options course and Commissioning
Coordination course. Lab System Submittal Engineering This course exposes
the Sales / Engineer to the process of creating Tek-Air System Submittals.
In this class, the participant will receive a collection of MS Word
and MS Excell documents, along with drawing templates so submittals
can be created very easily. Examples of other submittals will be discussed
so you are aware of what needs to be included in a system submittal
to avoid problems during installation and commissioning. Intro to Programming the Smart Lab Control System This introductory
course was created for the sales person so they can be familiarized
with the possibilities of the Smart Lab System. Different Sequences
of Operation will be discussed, so they will be better prepared to make
a sales presentation along with a overview of how ARCNet works and what
you can do with it. The Lab Applications Manual will be used as a guide
in understanding the possibilities with the Tek-Air Smart Lab Control
System. Programming the Smart Lab Control System The participant will
be taught how to start a Database, Configure Controllers from an engineered
submittal and how to Download Controllers. We will also spend time deciding
what logic will be used in the controller and changing Sequences of
Control in a Pre-programmed controllers. The participant will be required
to have his own Laptop PC for class and will be required to complete
a project in class. Students will be tested for qualification to work
in the field with the Smart Lab Control System as a technician/troubleshooter. Training the Customer In the field, you
may be required to talk to installing contractors, customers, engineers
and users about how the Tek-Air Product works. This course is designed
to help you understand what the customer needs to know about the different
products and how they work, so you can explain them to others. By the
end of this session, you should feel comfortable explaining how the
product works to someone else so you will be prepared to do so when
asked. |
